Societal trends boost Service Robotics

While industrial robotics is recovering from the economic crisis, Service robotics benefit from major societal trends and provide innovative solutions to solve worldwide issues such as medical assistance to seniors for an aging population, energy monitoring and saving for planetary sustainable development, well-being and quality of life, assisting people in their daily chores and safety, traffic congestion and urban sprawl in megacities through autonomous transport solutions and robots in the cities.

At Innorobo, you will discover how service robotics technologies can help us shape a better future.

«After the tool extending his hand, then the machine multiplying his strength, man models his intelligence in his everyday objects. Robots will populate our homes, our schools and our cities. It is a new step for mankind. » - Bruno Bonnell, President of SYROBO.

INNOROBO is a unique opportunity in Europe to meet, at once, all the international key players of the service robotics industry.

The 1st edition launched in 2011 has been a great success with 100% satisfaction of the participants and their commitment for the next edition. Innorobo 2012 will have all the ingredients that made the 1st one such a plebiscite summit and goes beyond with new services and areas.

INNOROBO 2012 goes BIGGER

Companies & Research centers worldwide will display their latest technologies, services and products through 120 booths and pavilions (against 80 in 2011) organized around 6 main themes covering the major fields of applications of service robotics:

- Home robotics
- Health and medical robotics*
- Robots in the city*
- Educational and Entertainment Robotics
- Human Robot Interface*
- Cloud Robotics*
*special focus of INNOROBO 2012 summit

A new interactive experiential area will be open to the general public with an ephemeral living lab to get a sense of the future as Robotics companies build it, but also, to attend demonstrations, workshops, competitions and public debates.

INNOROBO 2012 goes DEEPER

Last year, we welcomed more than 30 international renowned speakers, whether researchers (Cynthia Breazeal – MIT, Wendell Wallach – Yale, Pierre-Yves Oudeyer – INRIA), visionary entrepreneurs (Bruno Maisonnier – Aldebaran France, Tandy Trower - Hoaloha Robotics USA, Kyung Chul Shin – Yujin Robotics Korea, Colin Angle – iRobot USA) or experts and official representatives (Sang Rok Oh – Korea, Cheng Han Shieh – Taiwan)..for three cycles of conferences on technologies, market trends and perspectives of service robotics in general.

In 2012, the 3 days of conferences will go deeper into the most promising fields of applications with the latest technological breakthroughs in robotics presented by high end researchers, market analysis and data as well as perspectives and foresight revealed by the thinkers and doers of the industry. Attendees will learn about the changes ahead so to turn them into opportunities.

- Medical & Health robotics* from non-invasive surgery robots to assistance to the impaired and aged population through exoskeletons, body area network and rehabilitation devices, in institutions or at home,

- Robots in the city*: Smart grids, robotics sustainable development, from autonomous transport to home automation, going through city guides, ambient intelligence and intelligent distributed systems in our daily life

- Human Robot Interaction*: From our cultural distrust of robots through to the augmented human, what is our perception of robots, How do we interact with intelligent devices, what do we expect and what are we ready to accept and integrate in our life?

Innorobo cycle of conferences gathers robotics technical experts, visionaries, leaders of the industry so you can share and exchange on their experience and perspective on the evolution of the robotics industry within the next few years and decades.

INNOROBO 2012 goes GREATER

Innorobo 2011 was a kick off of a long series of summits, placing European Service Robotic in focus, and reaching its goal to gather companies from the whole industry around the globe to “Touch Innovation”.

Innorobo 2012 objective is to enroll companies to “Participate to Innovation” with a new Business Convention service, organizing professional meeting schedules with people relevant to each individual business.
